Selecting the Sound Source
(mic, Media Player/Real Player, TV, CD or phone)
(the accuracy of this info may depend on the sound card & operating system)
1) Get to the audio properties window:
"Paltalk Messenger" window ===> Setup ===>
Preferences ===> Audio Test ===>
Input Mixer Settings ===> Options ===> Properties
2) Select the "Recording" radio button.
3) Check some or all of the following check boxes based on what you want to use. You better uncheck what you do not want to use:
a) Microphone: you may be better off checking this box.
b) "Stereo Out" or "Stereo Mixer": if you want to play something using Media Player, Real Player, etc. Note that some PCs use a different name for this option and if that is your case you have to figure that name out.
c) Line: If you want to use your CD player or TV
for the TV you need to connect a cable from the out of your TV to your "in" location of your sound card. This is different from where your speaker and mic plug in.
d: Phone: Seems there is a cable that goes from the phone to the "in" of the sound card.
4) Select the <OK> button.
5) Now you can select the method of broadcast by checking the "Select" check box under the appropriate option. For example, to play nasheed select the "Stereo" option. Notice that if your mic now does not work or your voice becomes low, you need to select microphone.

6) If you play a sound file make sure that volume is not set high as the following image shows
